What sets Some People Up for Success and others for failure?
Do you think some people are more likely to succeed or have better relationships than others?
Are these people more likely to have better lives? If yes, then who are the people who are more prone to the worst that life has to offer?
Let me go a step further and ask you: What do you think sets them apart? Could it be pure good luck? Or is it hard work, sincerity, and consistency?
But, to think of it, some people work extremely hard but are still sort of miserable.
They do everything by the book – submit their reports on time, behave in the best way, and comply with all the so-called ‘good’ social norms. Yet, why are they still unhappy and can’t stop counting their failures?
The answer is very simple and has nothing to do with how much they work. The most important thing that matters is – Mindset.
Ditch the Victim Mindset
This is not about telling the victims to stop being victims because we know some of us have to deal with things that are worse than others.
Poverty, war, disease, harassment, hunger, illiteracy is real. Horrible childhoods and abusive relationships are real. Toxic workplaces and bosses are real. Your suffering and your feelings are very real.
This post is about equipping ourselves with the knowledge and tools to navigate through a tough time if you find yourself stuck in the loop of negative thoughts.

Trust me, mindset is everything.

Become a Learner – Not a Judger
Continuing on the same theme, we also spoke about the judger learner mindsets and how they can influence our lives.
What do you think about yourself – Are you a judger or a learner?
Take a minute before you answer because this answer will tell you how you think about everything in your life, about your approach to dealing with problems in life—personal and professional—and maybe even how far you’ll be able to go in your professional and personal life.

What makes life worth living?
Last week, we spoke to 10 people and asked them what makes their life worth living.
Responses varied – Some responded with “Why are you giving me an existential crisis, Jasleen?”! (Lol)
Others responded with ‘family’, closely followed by ‘friends’ as their top priorities in life! Some other things which featured a lower priority were career progression, clearing some exams etc.
Unsurprisingly so, it’s not much different for me and probably for you too.
I wonder – if we consciously chalk out our time to align with our priorities and making time for things we like to do.
Let me know your thoughts on it!
Love, JKD
